Nittany Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Clinton County Station 17 and Centre County Company 98. Established in 1948, Nittany Volunteers having been proudly serving our Community for 61 years, and plan to keep the tradition going for many more!
We are currently based out of one station in the small village of Lamar, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. We provide primary Fire, Rescue, and EMS services to approximatly 1,450 residents that reside within Porter Township.
Our Company provides automatic and/or mutual aid to our neighboring departments within Clinton County, as well as multiple Departments within Centre County. Our funding is based on fundraisers consisting of Raffles, Dinners, Auctions, an annual Fund Drive, and sometimes we are fortunate enough to recieve Grants.
Our primary 1st due district consists of approximatly 25 square miles, as well as 19 miles of the major highway Interstate 80. Our district is a mix of Agricultural Farmland, Suburban Style Residential Housing, a small Business District, and Forested Mountain Terrain. |
