History
Working Fire Video Training was established in the Fall of 1994. The program was created to supply training on subjects of relevance to the Fire Service that would lend themselves best to a video format. Such a format allows firefighters and EMS personnel to view the material in between response calls, at their convenience, while vividly demonstrating training techniques and actual incidents.
Working Fire Training has worked in collaboration with fire departments all over the United States and Canada to bring innovative, high-quality training to its subscribers. We are always looking to partner with departments in this area. If your department or response unit has video of training you have completed or have a training session you would like us to video, please contact us.
In January 2004, Working Fire Training began offering its programs on DVD. This allows us to distribute additional information to our subscribers.such as PowerPoint and downloadable training material in .PDF format. If you are a subscriber who would like to switch to the DVD format, please let us know.
As of January 2005, Working Fire Training came under new management.. The new management group will be bringing new wrinkles to its training service and expanding the product offerings of Working Fire.
In May 2005, Working Fire introduced WFGrants, a grant-writing service for emergency service agencies and municipalities. Our grant write, Tina Zimmerman, has a 90% success rate on submitted grant proposals so we encourage departments to let WFGrants handle their next grant submission.
We are proud to announce the launching of a new firefighting and safety products division, WFGear. Now firefighters everywhere will be able to buy a vast array of products on-line at www.wfgear.com or directly from our toll-free sales line, 800-516-FIRE -- and at a discount to Working Fire Training customers!
